2002 Corvette Z06 Museum Delivery

This 2002 Corvette Z06 was purchased from Bob Benedix at Bill Estes Chevrolet. If you are looking for a good deal on a Corvette, give Bob a call. Even though the Z06 was purchased from Bill Estes Chevrolet in Indianapolis, we did not take delivery there. Instead I choose to take delivery at the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY. This is known as the R8C Museum Delivery Option.

We took delivery of the Z06 on November 14, 2002 at the Corvette Museum. Dad drove down to my condo in Brisbane a few days before we flew out from San Jose. Here are some pictures of the Z06 while it was at the Corvette museum and during the delivery:

This is the first picture I took of the Z06. Adam Boca gave us an excellent tour of the museum. At the end of the tour, we came around the corner and there it was. I hadn't seen an Electron Blue Corvette in person yet, so I was very excited when I saw my car. I also had not driven a Z06, before I took delivery of my car. Needless to say, the museum delivery was one of the most exciting things I have done.

This is a picture of the car from the front. When you first enter the museum to take delivery of the car, there is a sign welcoming you for your Corvette Delivery. Luckily, they deliver your car to you at the end of the tour because the Corvette museum is amazing. The history of some of the Corvette's that are in the museum is unbelievable. I took a few pictures of some of the cars in the museum. When I get some more time, I plan to setup a separate page about our Museum Delivery trip.
